FAQs
What am I buying?
1
You are buying a guide and a customized letter template to help you fight back when your health insurance company says "no" to a claim. Our letters use strong legal and health insurance rules to make the insurance company take your request seriously.
How do I get my letter?
2
As soon as you pay, our system builds a custom copy of the letter just for you. We will send you an email with two options to get your file:
Google Doc Link: This lets you save a private copy straight into your personal Google Drive account.
Microsoft Word Link (.docx): This downloads the file directly to your phone or computer. You do not need a Google account for this.
The link is only active for 48 hours, so don’t delay
Why do the email links stop working after 48 hours?
3
To protect our custom templates and systems, our links expire. Our system permanently deletes the temporary file from our delivery server exactly 48 hours after your email is sent. You must click the link and save the document to your own device within 2 days. Once those 48 hours are up, the link breaks, and our team cannot bring it back.
Which link should I click: Google Docs or Microsoft Word?
4
Click Google Docs if: You use Gmail or have a Google account, and you like editing documents in your internet browser. When you click it, Google will ask you to "Make a Copy" so your workspace stays private.
Click Microsoft Word (.docx) if: You do not use Gmail, or you like using programs like Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, or WordPad on your computer. Clicking this instantly saves the file to your device.
How to File Your Dispute:
How do I finish my dispute letter?
1
We give you the blank legal framework and rules. To protect your privacy, we do not ask for or store your medical secrets. This means you must type in your personal details on your own device.
Open your copy in Google Docs or Word.
Find the brackets like [Member] or [Policy ID] and type in your real info.
Write a clear, simple story explaining what happened with your medical care.
Where do I send the finished letter?
2
Look at the official Notice of Denial letter your insurance company sent you. You can also check your plan's benefit booklet. These documents list the exact mailing address, fax number, or online portal where you need to send your appeal. If mailing please send the dispute via certified mail and call in 1 week to confirm your health insurance company has received the dispute.
What other papers should I include?
3
To give yourself the best chance to win, include as much proof as possible. Send copies of:
The original denial letter from your insurance company.
Your medical records or a timeline of your doctor visits.
A supportive letter from your doctor explaining why you need the care.
Copies of bills or receipts if you are fighting over money.
Is The Healthcare Hack providing legal or medical advice?
4
No. The Healthcare Hack is an educational tool. We help you understand your health rights and give you templates to write your own letters. We are not lawyers or doctors. We do not represent you or speak to the insurance company for you. You are sending this appeal yourself, in your own name. If you have specific medical or legal questions, you should always talk to a licensed professional.
